Well who’d a thunk it! People succeed when you don’t subject them by force to the same ‘dangerous and experimental treatment methods’ that caused the Ervin Commission to withdraw Federal expansion money for The Seed. That’s like saying people are healthier who leave the extra added strychnine out of their wicked step monster’s secret family recipes. (with apologies to good step mom’s everywhere. It’s a tough role to play most of the time.)

I learned that bit about the Ervin Report, among a great many other valuable things,  from Wes. Fager. He actually went to the Library of Congress, in the Capital, ferreted out this 400 page document and bought copies of the relevant pages.

Wes has been present on my mind lately. He went on to bigger and better things a year and two days ago. A year ago today I think I was researching air fares and bus routes to Norfolk.

I wonder what he would have to say about this? I wonder how his family and friends are getting along without him. I wonder if the old boy got a big surprise at the nature of whatever is the after-life? And I wonder about that seagull who seemed to pay an elaborate salute during the honor guard about the time Taps started to play and who else may have noticed.

I miss that old dude!

Ok, we’ve been getting some good legal advice. We’re confident that, very soon, Fornits Home for Wayward Web Fora (F-WWF) will be back to the unreasonable faccimilie of “normal” that we have come to know and love…. most of the time. We’re just waiting for busy people to examine tricky questions so that we don’t fumble and let something like this happen again so easily.

Once again, the Fornits are caught in the cross-fire–suffering the slings and arrows flying hither and yon in the war over freedom of speech.

Fornits.com has been taken down through a series of DMCA complaints. We believe these complaints to be unfounded and our hosting provider’s actions to have been rash and in error. But we need a little help and advice from someone well versed in intellectual property law to guide us through the process of challenging the complaints.

If you know of someone who would be willing and able to help, please send them along and please pass this request along to anyone who might be interested in getting Fornits back up and running. Here’s where we’re hanging out in the mean time.

What happens to your child after they ‘graduate’ high school and the program?  A simple enough question.  What does happen next?  Most parents would highly encourage their children to attend college and that’s a fabulous goal.  A college degree ensures a more secure future and that’s something every parent wants, ah, but when private education is involved…there might be a catch.

What catch?  The school you spent thousands of dollars on, very likely isn’t even accredited.  This means they or you, will have to spend even more money to get their GED before they can get any college diploma.  So, even if they’ve gone to a college and done some coursework, they may still have to take another step backwards anyway.

BEFORE you send your kids off to a secluded school, to be taught by people you haven’t met, in a situation where you can’t communicate freely with your child, if for no other reason than monetary, take the time to find out if the institution is accredited.

ADDENDUM:  I spoke with a gentleman today from the National Association of Private Schools & he advised me that in the state of Texas, there is a law stating that colleges must not discriminate on whether or not the secondary school issuing a diploma is accredited or not.  However, there is a caveat.  If the career field will require the individual to hold a state certification (nurses, cosmetologist, law enforcement, etc…) a GED will be required.

 The state of Oklahoma will automatically issue a GED upon completion of 30 credit hours of college coursework.

Hey Matt,
I came across your article for Huffington Post just now. That rez just keeps getting better and better. I’ve been busy. I hadn’t looked over the reform sites, or anything else much lately till now. They’re all about the diversion. I’m in ARD in a rust belt town now. Believe me, it’s a life changing experience! Public transportation here is not good. It’s a 12 hr+ round trip to the county courthouse where I have to report and costs me $20 in fares. Add to that around $900 in fines, another $300+ in service fees to MADD, County Diversion (for a Miss Cleo style ‘assessment’) and drug and alcohol classes. Oh, and 60 hrs of community service. There’s not a lot of work around here in walking distance that doesn’t require a vehicle. I’m practically homeless for the first time in my life.

I’ve had just about all the help I can stand. This might drive me to drinkin’! Please find me a drug czar who will quit being so damned helpful. I wonder what Ron Paul is saying.

Michael Palmer is reportedly in Fort Dodge, Iowa. According to information obtained by ISAC, Palmer is calling himself Dr. Michael Palmer, recently purchased a large building, and is interested in buying a vacant church.

Additional updates will be posted as information becomes available.

Victory Christian Academy is a locked-down Christian boarding school for girls in Jay, Florida.

Girls as young as 10 are accepted at the facility.

Victory Christian Academy is also using the name Lighthouse of Northwest Florida.

The owner of the facility, Brother Michael Palmer, was a long-time associate of Reverend Lester Roloff.

Roloff was notorious for paddling pregnant girls in his homes for “unwed mothers” as well as declaring that he preferred “death or jail” to state licensing of his facilities.

Victory Christian Academy used to be located in California but Palmer and his wife moved the facility to Florida after a California judge ordered the facility to close and banned Palmer and his wife Patty from EVER working at another unlicensed facility in the state.

At the time, Palmer was on probation after being convicted of operating a community care facility without a license.

Palmer also owned Genesis by the Sea, located in Mexico.

Mexican authorities raided Genesis by the Sea on September 10, 2004 after finding evidence of abuse, neglect and a “punishment cell.”

Officials gave the program 48 hours to remove all children from the facility.

Several students and many of the staff members have been moved to Victory Christian Academy.

Palmer has been accused of sexual battery by a former student and reportedly is not allowed to be alone with any of the girls in his care.

Victory Christian Academy is presently accredited by FACCCA (Florida Association of Christian Child Caring Agencies).

The current Vice President of FACCCA is Michael Palmer.

Michael Palmer’s son and son-in-law are both deputies for the local sheriff’s department.

Michael Palmer’s son reportedly transported students to Genesis by the Sea.

Palmer was listed on the Board of Directors for Palm Lane Baptist Academy, which closed earlier this year after numerous allegations of abuse against the school and its sister-school, Mountain Park Baptist Academy.

Mountain Park closed as well and information obtained by ISAC indicates that employees of Mountain Park and Genesis by the Sea are now employed at Victory.

This just in …..

We have received official word that Kids Helping Kids, a Pathway Family Center is not in fact closed here in Milford, Ohio.  The International Survivors Action Committee(ISAC) has officially released word that the Ohio facility is not closed and that the program is still using the facility in Ohio as an asessment center and marketing hub. This announcement comes to us after an official email released to ODADAS(Ohio Department of Drug Addiction and Alcohol Services) by program director Monica Mertens stating that

“Pathway Family Center no longer has a treatment center in Ohio. We only do assessments and
marketing at our site. Hopefully, new funding will be received and we will be able to open back
up.”

This just in…….Several eye witnesses have observed that Kids Helping Kids ( a Pathway Family Center) located at 6070 Branch-Hill Guinea Pike in Milford Ohio, has had no clients at the building for a total of four days now.

Apparently, a few days ago the President of the International Survivors Action Committee (ISAC), William Earnshaw, reported this fact to Mr. Jim Lapczynski, a legal representative of ODADAS (Ohio Department Of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services), and Mr. Lapczynski knew nothing about it.

William Earnshaw is also reporting now that a program parent has indicated that Kids Helping Kids( a Pathway Family Center) in Milford, Ohio has been shut down. When a source called The program to verify that the program is in fact shut down, the program denied that they are shut down, and are now claiming that they are using the Milford, Ohio branch as an assessment program.

Dear Kids Helping Kids, a Pathway Family Center,

I just would like to personally know which option it really is: a.) Shut the fuck down? or is it option b.) assessment facility? You people cannot have it both ways.

An email was sent to the president and CEO of Pathway Family Centers, Teri Nissley, to request verification of an answer either way. As of yet the email has yet to be returned with an answer.Also another thing, always remember this: one down …two to go! Protesters are not going away anytime soon.
